About Me

CURRENT MISSION

stop wasting time, and focus on my goals

ABOUT ME

I guess They'd say I'm quite easy-going and open minded. I hardly ever judge and listen carefully. It makes me a good companion for a late night pub crawling and lazy coffee drinking in the afternoon.

PHILOSOPHY

This one is kinda intimate, but I like being surprised. Being in the state of amazement is actually a core of any philosophy. I wish I never take everything for granted, but keep asking myself questions.

Interests

Cinema, 20th century literature, graphic novels, football, good concerts, modern art, travelling, tv series, beers from small regional breweries, food, graphics, photography, wandering around.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies and books take huge role in my life. I love cinema, and luckily I'm professionally bond to it right now. I watch everything - beginning with genre masterpieces, b movies, and tv series, finishing on wicked asian arthouse. Among my very favourite directors you can find easily recogizable names such as: Antonioni, Bergman, Has, Melville, Linklater, Clark, Peckinpah, Korine, Coppola, Gondry, Kim Ki-duk or Polanski, but also Dumont, Tsai Ming-Liang, Maddin, Solondz, Haynes and many others. The easiest way to confuse me is to ask what my favourite movie is...

I also love to read, and whenever I'm not watching films, partying, studying, or working I read. It's easier to list my favourite authors here, and on the first place I'd put Charles Bukowski, and only after that another names would follow in random order, such as: Henry Miller, Louis-Ferdinand Celine, Michel Houellebecq, Thomas Pynchon, Willam S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, Andrzej Sapkowski, Kurt Vonnegut and so on.
I'm getting a little bit bored with simply writing down all that names, but it's hard to choose just one, or even few of them. My other literary love are comic books, or as one would say not to look as an adolescent boy - graphic novels - I simply adore works of Alan Moore, Jason, Will Eisner, Frank Miller, Robert Crumb, Daniel Clowes, Harvey Pekar, Dave McKean & Neil Gaiman, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis and again lots of others.

Music is also important for me, I go to concerts quite often and i would describe my taste as eclectic. On my mp3 player you could find Tricky, Massive Attack, Beirut, Peaches, Roots Manuva, Gogol Bordello, Grace Jones, Trentemoller, The Knife, Scissor Sisters, The Roots, Dj Krush, but also Abba, Charlotte and Serge Gainsbourg, Daft Punk, Michael Jackson and a great number of old polish hip-hop records. I don't stick to one genre in particular and like to be surprised by some new names.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking across the Wisła river inside the railway bridge, hearing tons of steel rolling above my head, and watching every single step on a tiny footbridge meant only for repair works.
