About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish college and make more friends!!!

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Taiwan with the most amazing family in the world! I moved to the States alone when I turned 18. Since then I have always been living by myself. I'm independent, I love to make friends, take care of them, and I enjoy my life so much!

All the members in my family are living far away from each other. I have an older sister who lives in England, the second older sister is living in Taiwan with her boyfriend, and my parents are on their own in Taiwan as well. I used to travel with my parents a lot when I was a kid and I have also traveled with my sisters many times before. This is how I became to love the world and different cultures.

Currently I'm a college student who is majoring in drama and art. Also, I'm working as a teacher with a bunch of Japanese students in my college. I help them with their English homework and adjust to the new culture. It's really a lot of fun!

Languages are so fascinating to me. I love learning languages. It's the best way to show people from other countries your respect and it makes it easier to make friends too.

I'm an outgoing and open-minded person. I love to help people with any kind of things. It just feels good when I am offering and see people's smiles. I also like to try new things out like whatever I never done before. I'm trying to just live happily and enjoy every moment each day.

PHILOSOPHY

There are people that cross our lives, in tiny fractions of time, in the briefest of encounters and yet they leave an indelible mark in our hearts, in our minds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love hanging out with the surfers. We usually have a lot of great time together. We cook a lot and share our best recipes. There is always something that I haven't seen in Seattle and it's just awesome to discover with my surfers. Oh and Seattle has a lot of cool festivals during the summer! We love to go there as well!

Interests

I'm not the best cook ever but I really enjoy cooking and creating many weird dishes! I like biking a lot but I have lost two bikes already which is the reason that I stop biking anymore. Movies and music are great too.

Music, Movies, and Books

As for listening to music, I will take country, folks, reggae, blue, inde rock, and Latin - or pop somethings. Any kinds of music that make me calm and feel peaceful.

I love movies so much, drug and dark movies especially. For example, "Trainspotting" and "He Died with a Felafel in His Hand." I also watch other kinds such as "The Motorcycle Diaries" - my top favorite, which is a unforgettable one. I would watch this over and over again. The other one that I also like is "Into the Wild." It was pretty sad in the end, but I like it very much as well.

Most of the books I read are fiction or about languages, psycology, medical, arts and cinema those kind. Seattle public libraries are the places that I usually find them. I don't like to buy books because I never want to read the same book again - not like watching movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Playing with bird's shit because I thought it was melted marshmallows.
Was stoned for 38 days in NYC.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I first meet up new surfers, we usually start out from sharing experiences. They teach me what they've learned, I teach them what I am good at, we share our ideas, and we become friends. That's all what it is about. That's the way it works.
