About Me

I currently study computer science at the University of Maine. I was born and raised in Hampden, Maine, and I enjoy biking and hiking in the wilderness. I am easygoing, but adventurous. I think life is a crazy thing, and I like to be crazy with it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to experience interesting countries with interesting people. Nearly every person has something to teach. I'm ready to be the student.

Interests

My favorite things to do (in order) are: meeting interesting people, seeing interesting places, eating good food, biking, reading, hiking, playing tennis, playing chess, watching movies, and listening to music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like all music (except country), especially if it is unique. I often like to listen to NPR when I drive. I also really enjoy classical music.

Movies: There are many movies I like, but here are some of my favorites: Black Swan, Limitless, and 100-Foot Journey.

Books: I like both fiction and nonfiction books, but I read nonfictional books more. Some of my favorites are The Signal and the Noise, Black Swan, and Slaughterhouse Five.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have backpacked the 100-Mile Wilderness in Maine. It is the longest stretch of the Appalachian trail without urban development.

I also worked on organic farms in Italy for nine weeks on three different farms. It was a wonderful experience and I met many amazing people!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with hosts my personality. I am open to new ideas and always try to listen to other people's perspectives. I love to hear about people's travels and adventures. Also, I can tell some tales of my own!
