Music, Movies, and Books
Music has always been important to me. It was an anchor in darkened times, a ship to sail on, a land to let my dreams grow in and a way to express myself. I love every kind of music that comes right from the heart. Just listening to Jimi Hendrix.
Lord of the Rings is the only movie I've seen more than 3 times (together with Dirty Dancing which I've seen 7 times when Patrick Swayze was still alive). As a child, I always loved Pippi Langstrumpf. Recently, I'm trying to finish LOST but maybe I don't want to get to an end. I love good documentaries about arts, music, different cultures, the earth and our galaxy, the human mind and different times. I don't watch TV anymore. Think It was just too much in my early years. Don't even got a tv now.
I love to read. From good novels and mysteries over biographies and books about religion to specialist literature and chemnist's mags. A book that really changed my view about our ecosystem was The Swarm by Frank Schätzing and his scientific follower "secrets of an unknown universe". It widened my consciousness about the development of our universe, our earth and sea and our lives.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing to see is a starlit heaven from the other side of the galaxy. As long as you stay on earth, leave your city instead and go out to the countryside to enjoy the universe!
A really mindblowing experience in my life was the darkening of the sun -the eclipse- in the year 2000. I was in Hungary with a troupe of people from my hometown. After we had been at the Pepsi Sziget, we went to Balcony Bell to join a Rainbow Gathering. In the night, people were dancing naked around a fire. The next morning, all were making a big circle to watch the sky getting darker, listening while the birds were falling silent, seeing the stars at the daytime and starting to shiver cause it was getting cold while the sun disappeared behind the shadow of the moon.
If you want to travel back in time - I think about 5-8000 years, rent yourself a 4x4 or just start your walk from Sossusvlei in the desert Namib. Climb up a dune and stay there for as long as you can to swallow deeply all the colours which you never thought to exist in a desert... red sand till it touches the blue mountains in the backround which surround an ancient scenery of subterranean springs that even make it possible that trees are growing here and there.
Teach, Learn, Share
We could have a music session. Loads of instruments available at my home. Just bought a new guitar.
