ABOUT ME

I'm a nonbinary filmmaker from mexico city. live and work with Clara, my partner in arts, crime and life. they are a great observer with a twisted humor. We live with Megan, a UK deserteur who writes and shit. Together we're a multifunctional triangle of sorts that operates from our creepy hole dedicated to the arts and the obscure.

I think life is meant to be shared with others, opinions should be dscussed and points of view analyzed. Feedback loops and echo-chambers are the enemy... even when they're a lot of fun sometimes.

Don't bother asking for a couch if you didn't read the profile. I know it's hard to send a bunch of requests hoping that one of them pans out, but also consider how many requests we get in this city. It's boring to read long, unpersonal requests so copypasters get an instant 'decline'. Rather just write, "hello, i too am into obscure, creepy, art stuff". I don't want to be rude, but I'm not excited to read any more copypasted generic travel stories.

Soy unx filmadorx que vive en la ciudad de méxico con Clara, mi compañera en el arte, el crimen y la vida. es una gran observadora con un sentido del humor torcido. Viviomos con Megan, una desertora del reino unido que escribe y cosas así. Juntos trabajamos como un triángulo multifuncional que opera desde las tinieblas.

Por favor no escriban solicitudes genéricas. Rechazo al instante las solicitudes impersonales. Prefiero que escriban "hola, yo también opero desde las tinieblas" a que me manden 7 párrafos de la historia de su vida. No quiero ser grosero ni nada, pero la verdad no me emociona leer historias genéricas copiadas y pegadas.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I really enjoy both hosting and travelling. So I try to do both as often as possible. I've only had great experiences so far on both ends. I've met and traveled with amazing people and learned a great deal from it.

Intereses

cinema, music, photography, all kinds of artistic expressions: theatre, dance, painting, sculpture. i love experiencing new places and meeting interesting people. I'm terrible at small talk and pleasantries, but I'm always up for hearing about art, politics and culture.

Música, películas y libros

some movies: luci­a y el sexo, biutiful, trainspotting, enter the void, 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, le scaphandre et le papillon, jagten and amour are some personal favourites. films are my life in more than one way, so there's really no end to everything i love about movies.

i really love music in all of it's forms, from classical to electro, tango to rock, jazz, flamenco, ambient and sinaloense. I'm not an educated musician but i definitely appreciate music made with passion.

Some old favourites: sigur ros, bjork, mew, kashmir, radiohead, M83, vetusta morla, kavinsky, zoé, james blake, john cage, carlos gardel and the list goes on.

Algo increíble que he hecho

the most amazing thing that comes to mind was the two week trip i took with my younger brother through yucatán. we met amazing people, ate some great meals, went to absolutely beautiful places and just overall shared a fantastic bonding experience.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I could share the basics of analogue photography, guitar playing, or some songs in ukulele. I can also share some mexican recipes. I'm hardly a professional chef but i can manage to prepare a nice dish or two.
