About Me

Hey! I like to do things a little bit differently. consciously choose where i want to be. I was born on the East coast of Canada, from small lobster fishing town of 200 then to then progressed to living downtown Toronto. I always like to keep active, sports and kitesurfing, and into psychology and learning what makes people tick.

With travelling, we love the change-over. Too long in one place and it sucks away your soul. But when you come back to your favourite places and old friends - it's like you've never skipped a beat, and you appreciate that life so much more.
I like to experience new things, and to take our friends along for the ride. Love going out, and hitting festivals, Harvest Fest in Ontario is a favourite, will do Burning Man soon. Learned to sail last summer and spent way too much time partying a la boat.

I have met many of my very good friends on couchsurfing!

My philosophy is to continually grow through new experiences and travel is the best way to expand those perspectives. The journey is more important than the destination. No one should ever have time to be bored. But I strive for balance and to reflect and appreciate family, friends, and just being.

Ultimately, choose the way you live!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love the meetups, always game to grab a drink with passerby's and the great friends we've made through CS.

and in turn we've stayed with friends we've made at CS meetups.

Even had a surfer tag along with us on the RV while we went on a road trip of west coast USA. (San Fran to Santa Fe portion). Took parts of old Route 66 to Chicago before returning to Toronto.

Interests

I like to be in motion, and learning, in between building new things and restoring the old. I'm happiest when I'm on the water, sailing or surfing,

Music, Movies, and Books

LOVE Trance, Dance, Electronic, SynthPop, EBM, Old Alternative, New Age, Trip Hop, Classical, Opera, Goth Industrial, 80s, some pop, some rap/hip hop/R&B. Lots of stuff!

For movies and books... well I guess things that make us think! Neil Gaimans Sandman, anything dark and twisted, that pulls the strings of your imagination.

Movies, wow, too many to name...

Donnie Darko, Contact, Dark City, Fight Club, Momento, Moulin Rouge, LOTR, PI, The Truman Show, What Dreams May Come, Big Fish, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Chronicals Of Riddick, Being John Malcovich, American Beauty, Spirited Away, Inception, The Departed... and many more.

Don't watch much TV... at least not the commercial version, much better getting the box set after the fact or Netflix. Love the gore... True Blood, Walking Dead, you get the idea and Psy-fy too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting married on the beach in Florida, experiencing Amsterdam, the Highlands in Scotland, discovering Brugge by accident. Driving all the way from Halifax to Key West. Driving old Route 66.

St. Paddy's Day in New Orleans, driving along US 1 in California, the views of Big Sur. It was closed off due to landslides so tried to bypass on a narrow dirt road, there were 50's cars parked at the beginning as if a time warp. Got so far along up a winding hill that got very sketchy so decided to turn back but had to backup for about a mile.

Swimming between manatees in Florida, kitesurfing through a school of flying fish, chasing dolphins in a dinghy.
Karaoke with a group of CSers in LA, naked boating adventures, Key West madness and much much more to come!
