About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world historically. To set foot on every continent. To find inspiration.
ABOUT ME
Hey all, I'm Lisa. I'm an adventurer, a lover, a thrill-seeker and a story-teller. My dreams lie in building my own house, growing my own produce, and eventually finishing my novel. Honestly, I would love to be able to make money off of my art and become a fire performer.
PHILOSOPHY
“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” -Albert Einstein
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: An eclectic mix with everything from The Matrix series to The Notebook to Spirited Away. Books: Anything Fantasy (CS Lewis, Stephen King, Rowling, TA Barron, Patrick Rothfuss, Heather Brewer, Paolini, Sergei Lukyanenko, Sneigoski, Orson Scott Card, Darren Shan, MacHale, Goodkind, etc) I also love random other authors (Anything Shaara, Linda Rios Brook, Ted Dekker, Patterson, Coelho, Mark Ferrari, Isabel Hoving).Music: Like my movies, with everything from Celtic Women to Freak Kitchen, Lin-Manuel Miranda to Panic! At the Disco.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've lived. I have overcome and am stronger because of it. That is amazing in itself.
I've seen people with nothing give all they have in themselves to help other people in Haiti.
I've zip-lined through the Cloud Forest of Ecuador, hiked the Inca Trail and walked where da Vinci and Michelangelo trod.
And all of it was ridiculously fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm up for learning everything that you can provide. I've been called a Renaissance woman and would now love to live up to that name! I personally consider myself a life-long learner. I love to tell stories about my travels and will happily share them. I've written, I've drawn and painted, I've played tuba and sung, and would love to share advice regarding any of that. I am also a storage bank of random facts, so don't be surprised if I end up telling you about a random plant in Ecuador that's hallucinogenic or about how difficult it is to get neon turquoise out of red, blue, yellow, black and white.
