ABOUT ME

i am 54 years old and live in policastro bussentino since i was 19. i came here by chance from the north of england with a girlfriend and we both got married and still live here. my husband is italian and i have three grown up sons and two small grandsons. i love animals and have a labrador and three cats in the garden and two budgies in the house.

PHILOSOPHY

How do you live your life?i try to live and let live. my husband and i lead a very simple existence, we have two children here in the village and one in australia, and they are very important for us. we enjoy meeting new people and are always pleased to help in any possible way.

Hosting, surfing, activities... there’s a lot to do here. What’s your favorite way to get involved?i will happily put up anyone passing our way or if they do not need a bed would be delighted to offer them a meal or just have a drink.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What kinds of experiences have you had through CouchSurfing?i have only had one experience with couch surfing so far but it was a wonderful meeting. we got on really well and had a wonderful time together and hopefully our guest will return.

What do you like to do in your free time?in my free time i really enjoy gardening, reading and walking my dog.

What do you like to watch, read, and listen to?i enjoy listening to both classical and modern music depending on the mood and the situation. i try to vary what i read so that i can better my italian as much as possible. i do not have much time to watch films but enjoy documentaries a lot.

What kinds of skills or information could you share with someone? What would you like to learn?i am not sure what i could share, perhaps the little knowledge and experience that i have gathered during my lifetime, that is if it can be of interest and use....i would like to learn anything new. it is always enlightening to come into contact with someone new...
