ABOUT ME

I am a quiet but crazy sensitive gay guy who enjoys all kinds of things, from tennis to reading maps, swimming to cooking. I love to travel and wish I could afford to more often. I have lived in Kentucky, Connecticut, NYC and Los Angeles. I am tall and have a distinctive appearance. My friends (and others) think of me as a little quirky - maybe even weird - but a lot of fun. I eat everything except cooked carrots by themselves (they are fine in soups, stews, etc.), and love food from all over the world. I enjoy being in nature, whether it's hiking in the wilderness or being naked on the beach, exploring new things, gardening, going out and about with friends, walking around the city and hanging out in random coffee shops, going to farmers markets, used bookstores and thrift shops. Whether I'm visiting or in my home city I always look like a tourist, because I love looking at and observing architecture, street life, parks and gardens. I love traveling, and have been in 43 US states and 19 countries (some multiple times). I vibe best with people who are easy-going and just basically cool cucumbers. PHILOSOPHY

I am not one of those that believe everything happens for a reason, rather I believe everything that happens is an opportunity for examination, reflection, and sometimes just plain old pleasure. As an artist I believe the search for beauty is one of my most important survival mechanisms.

I have hosted travelers in Los Angeles, NYC and Louisville, and I stayed with hosts in Asia. My introduction to the site was as a traveler looking for a place to stay in Malaysia. Tenn Sen was my very first CS host!!

Algo increíble que he hecho

Standing on top of Connemara, Ireland (near Sligo) on an overcast day looking over the ocean, and feeling like I was in a shrouded bowl. The ocean to the west, the mountains to the north, east and south, a floor of muted green and a dull, cloudy, beautiful lid. Oh, and I can't forget the constant brisk wind coming off the Atlantic! It was so bracing that I kept thinking it's time to get off this hill!! But I couldn't tear myself away from the experience. Finally my face was so stung that I reluctantly turned around and headed back down from my mountaintop experience. To add extra meaning it was my first trip outside the USA. I'll never forget that.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

My apartment is large! Every room is big, including the bathroom (which is the size of my spare room in my last NYC apartment - you can ask my CS friend Harry Masis, who was my last NYC roomie and has visited me in Louisville). The kitchen is well-stocked and very cook-friendly. The apartment is on the ground floor of an old Victorian house, in the largest Victorian residential historic district in the USA. You will love walking around Old Louisville! My place is convenient to nearly all of the attractions in Louisville, including Churchill Downs, home of the KY Derby, as well as Whiskey Row downtown (if you don't already know, Louisville is one of the major destinations on the KY bourbon trail).
