We both decided to quit our job and travel through south america for a year with a 4WD. Hit the road, discovering amazing places and meet great people along the road, that's our mission for the year 2017 !!!

Well,
I'm an easy-going swiss guy and Stephanie is the lovely american girl. We definitely believe in Nature and can spend hours in the outdoors .
We love traveling, not only for the places you can visit but for what you can live in these places, especially the people you can meet. CS is made for us :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just heard about CouchSurfing when I was in Australia in 2010 for my world trip. I decided to start there because traveling in youth hostels allows you to only meet people from other parts of the world, which is actually great, but also makes you miss the culture of the country you are currently visiting.
My first CS experience was amazing and we are looking forward to meet new people around the world thanks to CS. Of course, we will be more than happy to welcome people in Switzerland when we´ll be back home. Once you discover the real face from a country, you want to do the same with yours.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started in Australia and I can only say one thing: it's AWESOME ! My first CS host was amazing: I came for a couch and I got a new friend for life (thanks again Paul). We love to share people's life and show them our own culture, that's the way we see CS.

Centres d'intérêt

We love to discover people from other countries and other cultures That´s actually the reason why we travel a lot (visit our blog: www.welcometo-ourworld.com).
We love practicing sports around our place (skiing in the swiss mountains, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, etc.). We also like Nature and we can spend a lot of time in the outdoors (have a look here to see some of our best pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/naturecyril/).
Finally, we like to chill-out on a terrase with a good book and tasteful food (we love cooking) and it would be impossible for us to live without music.
Oh yes, I almost forgot to say that I'm a big whisky fan (from Scotland of course) and I have a club with some close friends, where we share some tastings once a month. If you are coming to my place, there will always be a bottle ready for you :-)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like all kind of music but especially pop-rock (R.E.M, Snow Patrol, Cranberries, Muse). Oh yes, since I spent one year in Vienna to study (it was great, of course), I´m now really interesting in classical music as well.

Stephanie likes all kind of music, but she is a big fan of country music, she knows everything about it.

Regarding movies, we usually like the movies with a message (V for Vendetta is great and we love Walter Mitty) but a blockbuster with a box of popcorn is also something we really enjoy (The batman saga was awesome !).

Finally we read a lot of good feelings books (Shantaram is a must), which makes you believe that everything is possible in life.

We also like the buddhist philosophy and we are both practicing yoga.

I know a lot of things about photography and it would be a pleasure to help you if you have some problems with your camera. Of course, I´m learning every day as well and it would be great to know some new tips about the subject.

Stephanie knows everything about organisation and if you have any problem with excel, she will be your guide.

We already traveled quite a lot and we are always up to share our experiences, tips and advices about other countries.

Our sense of humor, our ability to see only the best in our hosts and a good meal we will cook for our host with a nice bottle of wine.
