ABOUT ME

For money and satisfaction, I am an equine podiatrist; for soul and satisfaction, I write songs and poetry and play guitar, often in public places; For sustenance and satisfaction, I raise plants and animals in the most natural environment I can provide, and I love them, and then I eat them.
I was raised in the woods by a herd of horses. A small, domestic herd, but a herd nonetheless.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the change, but be more than the change, be the driving force behind the change, or some change, inspire others to see the change, know the change, be the change. Life is short and amazing, embrace it. Sustainably. (which evidently is not a word, but for all intents and purposes, it will remain in the stead of a word herein). You're only young once and by the goddess, it's fleeting!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed and been surfed. When I am not on the road, my door is open and I will do what I can to help you out on your journeys.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted through couch surfing and got to meet wicked awesome people with whom I played music, rode horses and ate un-weeds. I have surfed many couches, though not through CouchSurfing, and now I attempt to surf through CouchSurfing.

Learning Spanish (and lots of other languages, but settle down, I can only do so much at one time)

Good beer, though I don't know much about it, don't ask me about brewing, but share your brew! Yeah! And I'll share my beef! And give you the beef on ... milking a cow!

Movies notsomuch, too many flashing lights and loud noises. i have been known to enjoy a few, especially Brad Pit movies. What can I say? None of your business! (HA). Music, yes please! Books - oh to list them! Currently my head is in Jack Keruac. My all time favorite literary experience may have been The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, in all its ridiculousness. I seem to dig true stories, historical novels (with at least some elements of truth in history), educational texts about things which fascinate me, like horse feet and food (which don't go very well together, it's true).

I have seen the sunset over a vast expanse of jungle canopy from the top of an ancient city.

I can teach horses, and people about horses, and horses about people, and dogs about manners, and horses about dogs, and people about food, and milking cows, and the trouble with FACTORY FOOD. I can teach some beginner and intermediate guitar, and how to find food in wild places, to a certain extent.
I'd like to learn more about music (theory and voice), Spanish, tanning hides for furs and leather, everything construction, and lots of other things from people who know about them.
I like to share the fruits of my labour, be it material or knowledge. I especially like to share food.
