About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Im roaming the world, writing my first book!
ABOUT ME
I'm a wondering artist from St. Petersburg, Russia. I have spent much of my life between countries and homes, and am now permanently on the road with my motorcycle "Georgia".
Though I found my calling in education, I realized that I must finish my book before i dedicate the rest of my life to teaching. So, I taught for a couple of years with Teach for America, and am now on sabbatical to finish writing.
I started with Photography a long time ago and slowly moved to the written word. One thing that has not changed though is my need to be on the move when I'm creating.
I love to hear people's stories and sharing cups of tea! I have met the most wonderful people on my journey so far, and can't wait to meet more!
I try to volunteer as much as I can, especially in places like schools and orphanages.
PHILOSOPHY
None of us are free, if one of us is chained, none of us are free
Judge not lest thee be judged.
Do unto others as thou would do unto thyself.
Don't think outside the box - remove the box
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I spend a lot of time telling people about couch surfing and getting them to join or use the site more. Right now I'm a surfer, but I have played the host numerous times before (before I knew about this site), so I feel I've built up enough Karma to go on this trip.
When I return I plan on opening my couch (literally, it's a fold-out) again!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch surfing, in my opinion, is one of the best ideas ever conceptualized in the world of travel! I have met the most amazing people, through hosting and surfing and traveling! Before, when I only hosted, I always had a great time showing people the True New York, and learning about them and their culture... but now that I have surfed myself I can honestly say that staying with people has transformed my journey. Surfing has added an echelon of experiences for which I am so very grateful. Staying with people, sharing their home, food and lives has made me feel at home wherever I was, and that is not something often felt when you are on the road for this long.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music.
I read voraciously of the literature but avoid unilaterally of the pop.
