About Me

My real name is Stef, but for a long time people have called me Sauce. The adventure is yours for the choosing 🙃

I'm SUPER new to CouchSurfing, so please extend a little grace while I figure out the etiquette and best practices of things around here. If I send you a friend request without a direct message, I'm not a creeper! I'm just getting a feel for people who seem to have aligned values and good references on here as I look ahead for the next handful of weeks of road life.

I've been living on the road since November 1st, 2018 and have been to 25+ cities including a very unplanned few days in Iceland and some very unexpected, "on-a-dime" type changes. My decision to pursue living nomadically was less influenced by the desire for "adventure" and greatly inspired by the awareness that stripping myself of all of my comforts and familiarities, and the unconscious patterns and conditions that go along with those would be exposing and vulnerable. It has been the most glorious, beautiful, agonizing, revealing, transformative choice I've ever made. I don't plan any of it far ahead of time - usually not more than a couple of days. What I've learned is that everything is always going to be okay. "Okay" might just look a hell of a lot different than I thought it would. I've been repeatedly humbled by the gift of sharing time and space with strangers, and for being trusted with the stories of the incredible humans I've met along the way.

The remote nature of my work makes this all possible. I'm a Coach. You might be more familiar with the term "life coach" but that label never felt like it fit. My work merges Spirituality, Psychology, and Physiology and lots of other tools and modalities. I work with people who are interested in pursuing courage, consciousness, authenticity, truth, self-love, wholeness, and an increased capacity to be with "what is". I do a LOT of work in the realm of relationships, intimacy, and sex(uality). I refer to it all as the "pursuit of humanness".

I think diner coffee is the best coffee.
I KNOW Tangerine is the best flavor of Le Croix - a topic that I know is hotly debated.
I make a mean Spotify playlist.
I have 21 tattoos - just counted. Got my last one in New Mexico on my way to Arizona.
I am happy to subject myself to a Buzzfeed quiz of your choosing to determine what any of the above really mean about me.

I'm a new CouchSurfer so I have only one reference (and one sitting in some kind of internet abyss because my last host and I can't seem to figure out some kind of glitch 😂) and I became intentionally homeless before I could ever host anyone. So, I promise I'm not crazy and I'd love to hear your story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In Nov 2018 I left my hometown of West Palm Beach, Florida to surrender to wherever Nature leads me. I'm traveling indefinitely with no particular destination. This journey presents the opportunity to form relationships, to trust people, to ask strangers to help a fellow human and to hopefully extend a hand in kind when I'm able.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh man. The variety of things that I enjoy in these categories is so immense. Most recently streamed things on my Spotify include Lil Dicky, Paul Simon, Namika, Lil Wayne, DJ Drez, City and Colour, Trevor Hall, Krishna Das, SRV, Justin Timberlake, RHCP...etc etc etc. I'm going to joyfully admit how much I love Harry Potter and that I recently binge-watched all of them. Currently reading "The Places That Scare You" by Pema Chödrön, as well as several other books I keep handy to read as resources for my work like Eastern Body, Western Mind. My favorite author to read for pure pleasure is Harlen Coben. Love me a mystery thriller.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving my lifelong home to lean into a vast chasm of unknown feels like it gets filed under amazing.
