About Me

Since i've become a mother of our wonderful daughter, and are expexting our second child, I put this CS experience on hold. Do feel free to contact me for advice for trips around Gent ;)

ABOUT ME

I'm Stefanie, and I live in Merelbeke, close to Gent. I graduated in june 2012 as a doctor. I signed up here because i love to meet people from other countries! I think it's a very interesting way to learn about other cultures and languages. Travelling and meeting people broadens your point of view, and contributes to understanding this world where we live in...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went backpacking in Mexico for a month, visited Morocco, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Turkey, France, England, ... I love to discover every country!
Now i've lived in Chile for about 3 months (doing meds internship) and i'm surprised how easy it is to live in another country. I've learned a lot, about the culture here, about the people, but also about myself. It tastes like more... In 2012 I went to India for 1 month to work in the IIMC (indian institute of mother and child) in Kolkata, a life-changing experience...
In 2014 i traveled to Cuba with my husband for 3 weeks. It was quite mindblowing in many ways: nature, culture, the socialism and finding out how it works, ...
In 2016 me and my husband went hiking in Switzerland, I was blown away by the stunning mountain views. It's so peaceful and energizing to hike in the middle of this vast nature.
2018: Best and most exciting experience so far: becoming a mother
