Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have spent various periods of time living abroad (US, France, Netherlands) and each and every time, I thoroughly enjoyed the contacts with other cultures and new people, so I figured couch surfing might be just the thing for me.

I am currently on a year-long sabbatical, travelling in Asia and Oceania, and would love to meet up with locals while doing so.

Interests

Food (as a belgian, it's almost obligatory ;-) ) and that means both eating (experienced ;-) ) as well as cooking (I'm learning...)

Music: big Radio Paradise fan (I know that's a bit broad as favourite music, but I really like about 90% of the music they play)
Movies: I could list a whole page here, but picking some of the really good ones: Intouchables (the French movie, not The Untouchables, although that's a pretty good one too), das Leben der Anderen, Mar a dentro
Books: same as with movies, but some top picks are: the Fountainhead (Ayn Rand), The Goldfinch (Donna Tartt), The Help, The Invention of Wings
