About Me

Hi everyone! :)

My name is Stefan, but most of my friends call me 'Charly' - I can tell you the funny story behind it while having a beer or a coffee...

I'm 27 years old and grew up in a tiny little town in east Germany (1,5 hour out of Berlin). After high school I started working in a bank and studied on the weekend. 8 years of working were pretty much enough ... This is why I decided to quit my job and start traveling (by the way the best decision in my life). Since February 2016 I'm on the road and still don't know when I will go back to Germany. I'm currently traveling through Australia.

I'm laid back , easy going and love to laugh. My friends would describe me as trustful and self confident. I'd like to hang out with my mates, grab some beers and listen to some good stories. Further more after almost 9 month of traveling I'm able to tell some stories as well :)
I'm sporty and like the nature. When I was 6 years old I started to play soccer - soccer is my passion (typical German :) )Moreover I like Yoga, Cross Fit, Running and Cycling.

I've done couchsurfing quiet often - more than you'll see in my references, because we 'used' the profiles of my travel mates Savanna and Anni.

I'm tiny, clean and don't mind to help in the household.

If you have any question, feel free to drop me a message.

Cheers :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started CS in the end of February 2016. After a few experiences i can definitely say that CS is my favorite way of traveling! I got know so many inspiring personalities, it´s amazing. I really like to learn something about the culture, religion and the people living in the country i visit.

Interests

As I sad before (about me) I'm interested in different things and don't mind to try new things (sports, music and stuff).
I'm also ingested in meeting new people and listen to their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm German and I live close to Berlin ... So for sure I like electronic music. :)
Check out Marek Hemmann, Bebeta, Pretty Pink, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Paul Kalkbrenner, Janosh, Oliver Schories!

But I also like Indie Rock like Wombats and Blink. When I'm going out I can almost listen to every kind of music.

I'm not really into movies, because back home I didn't have that much time. Now I'm on travel and don't have the opportunity to watch TV. I like the old James Bond movies and Lord of the rings .

Every now and than I need a good book. Dan Brown, Edward Harris and Patrick Woodhead writing some nice books :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job and start travelling !
Climb on a volcano in Indonesia; travel around Australia with my own car; celebrate my birthday with my mates on Bali; survived my birthday party ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would say I can cook - so I'm able to show you some German meals and stuff:)
Furthermore I can teach you some German and soccer skills.
I would like to share good vibes , stories and a good beer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I'm surfing I'd like to hang out with my hosts (if possible). Moreover I'd like to share good vibes , cooking skills and some beers or wines. I don't mind helping in the household. In the past i helped to move cows , sheep, cut gras in the garden, cleaned the utes and walked the dogs:)
