About Me

I'm a positive, open minded, open hearted person who loves to see new things. At home where I study mechanical engineering I like to meet up with friends in my spare time, go outside or just relax reading a book or playing the guitar.
Another one of my passions is food. I've learnt that you find great food everywhere and I'm always keen on trying new things. I'm no chef but cooking is a lot of fun and if you're interested I'd love to show you some food from where I'm from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the people and their world view. I've made the experience several times, living in the US for 3 years, during student exchange in France and travelling in Korea, Japan and Morroco, that it's all about who you meet. Looking at sights can be nice, but just talking to locals and getting to know how they live really makes a trip worthwhile. I love to talk about differences in culture and I'm always open to new ideas I get that way.

Interests

Guitar and music, swimming, diving, geocaching, astronomy, reading, food and fascinating technology of all sorts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock music, but depending on my mood other genres as well. Tool is an incredible band, but just one of the many I like (incubus, in flames, alter bridge, ...).
The way Terry Pratchett parodies our world on discworld is great and I enjoy reading those books a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climb Mt. Fuji, which was very tiring but awesome.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories of places I've been and things I've learned.
An open mind to share the culture and the willingness to try pretty much anything.
My love for food and the food of Southern Germany which I'd love to make.
And hopefully just a great time ;-)

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Denmark, France, Hungary, Japan, Morocco, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
