Overview
About Me
Naval Architect working in Glasgow. Have lived in this awesome city for two years and absolutely love it!
Easy going, polite guy who likes to get out into the great outdoors whatever the weather and loves Real Ale Pubs.
Most of my weekends are spent bagging munros in the Scottish highlands.
I am pescetarian and I personally don't smoke but don't care what people do in their own homes..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Couchsurfing is a great, flexible option for my last minute travel needs and is much more sociable than dreary budget hotels.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- It's a mixed bag.... Elbow, Pink Floyd, Springsteen, Jethro Tull , a bit of classic fm if the mood takes
Films - Where do you start?! Python, Spaghetti Westerns, biopics, harrowing dramas... if I'm not emotionally broken or pissing myself laughing it's probably not worth it . Favourites at the mo are 'Road to perdition' and 'The lives of others'.
Books- I tend to read less these days but am always looking for a good suggestion.
I love Kipling - especially 'Captains courageous'. When I was younger I also loved reading the books of Michael Morpurgo and the Mortal Engines Quartet by Philip Reeve.
I was brought up on Arthur Ransome stories and therefore believe in the medicinal properties of tree climbing and camping.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Dufourspitz in Switzerland and now training for Mount Elbrus in Russia this July
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach- Nautical trivia
Learn- Interesting new recipes (I need to up my cooking game)
Share- Whisky
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lame stories of outdoor exploits, lots of useless ship facts and a pint or two with those who are so inclined.
