Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am always up for meeting new people, hearing their stories and getting to know new cultures. When abroad, a printed guide or the internet can get you only so far - a local will always be the best way to see a country in its right light.

Living in a multi-cultural town like Berlin, only feeds your drive to get out and discover places off in the distance. Would it be a japanese writer's novel, a french girlfriend, the hospitable sudanese deli-owner down the street or the muay thai trainer. All these influence make me want to go out and see these people's home countries myself.
