About Me
Hi couchsurfers!
I'm Stefan, 25 years old, and am currently living and studying in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. I'm part German, part American (Hawaii) and also somehow Japanese (I'll explain when we meet) but have lived mostly in Germany, with the exception of a internship i did in Ghana for half a year. Before finally settling in here for Uni, I was traveling around and between different things to do for a while because i love to travel, see new things and meet new people. I worked as a paramedic in Berlin and the countryside for a while and finally arrived in Amsterdam now to study medicine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great and easy way to get around and meet locals in the process, which is always the best way to get to know a place anyway!
Interests
My most important and most expensive hobby is travelling, which I spend as much time doing as possible. Apart from that I play guitar and piano, did Capoeira and Karate for some years (have been slacking on that for a while now...) and enjoy having a fun and/ or relaxed time with friends.
Next to studying I try to stay on top of current events and volunteer here and there.
- capoeira
- politics
- movies

Music, Movies, and Books
I'll listen to pretty much anything that is authentic. Apart from that I try to read a lot, mostly Man Booker Prize contestants and watch plenty of movies/ series on the side.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cycled from Hamburg to Amsterdam by myself with just my tent a couple years back. Definitely one of the best experiences of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to get a little more French and/ or Arabic exposure, as I've been trying to learn that on the side a bit. Apart from that, I love to exchange stories about basically anything or talk politics, religion, movies, you name it.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Laos, Morocco, Norway, Peru, Spain, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, Ghana
