About Me

Since March 2018 i got a year off and plan to spend it on a round-the-world trip. I want to go through south-eastern Europe, Turkey and the Kaukasus to the silk road and further East.
I love to sketch, that's kind of a travel diary for me. You can watch it too.

I worked in an architect's office, drawing plans of houses and stuff, 9-5 (or longer).
Beside that I play french horn in an orchestra (http://www.blaeserphilharmonie.at/), I go cycling and I love to swim and hike around in the Austrian mountains or elsewhere.

I also love Larping (Live action role playing game), I'm member of the society 1000 Atmosphären (http://1000atmosphaeren.at/) and i also organize larp events.

One of my peculiarities is taking my sketchbook always with me. I like drawing things, it feels much more authentic than take a fast picture with the camera.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love it to meet the locals, who can tell you cool stuff about the area. Although I do some mainstream-tourism stuff, I love it to see how live works beside the main sights.

From March 2018 on I'm on a round-the-world trip, starting from Vienna/Austria eastwards.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hear a lot of different music styles.
I like classical music as much as Rock or Indie, Soundtracks etc.

My favorite movies are "Inception", "Hount for Red October" and "Mad Max - Fury Road" among many others

Books: I liked Harry Potter a lot, but recently i read "The man without Qualities" (Der Mann ohne Eigenschaften) by Robert Musil, which was a great reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Israel I ran out of money, so I had to go back from Eilat at the Red Sea back to Tel Aviv, to catch my plane back to Austria there. I couldn't afford the bus ticket anymore, so I tried hitchhiking. First i was a bit uncertain, but when the first car stopped it turned out to be a highlight of the trip. I talked to a lot of great Israelis, learned about their thoughts, about their country and had a great time. It was an adventure, and a first step for me to become a more individual traveller.
