About Me
Latest edit: 11/07/2024
👋 Hi, my name is Stefan. I am currently a fulltime Software Developer at Plan2Learn, Århus, Denmark!
🌇 Born in Bulgaria, raised in a small town near the Greek / Turkish border having the name of Kardzhali ☀️, I have a passion for traveling and exploring new countries!!
🚄 I have travelled a lot! Somehow I managed to squeeze in visiting 10+ countries while pursing my bachelors degree. How I did that? Answer is simple - Erasmus+. It has helped me travel affordably and not only that but I also made many friends from different countries along the way that I still keep in touch with and even had visited or they had visited me! I have been mostly around Europe, but also the Asian part of Turkey, the Canary Islands and the USA.
😊When we talking me I am a patient, determined and committed person. My personality traits include
responsibility, confidence, openness and conscientiousness. I am also calm and well-reserved and it takes a lot to get on my nerves 😀. Apart from work I am radiant, spontaneous and entertaining person that would always try to make his friends laugh and have a good time.
💪I am a passionate gym club member. There I show grit, commitment and hard work at its finest form. Day in, day out you can find me in the gym where I joined 5 years ago trying to be physically challenged away from my academic life. Moreover, I am also interested in a wide variety of sports such as basketball🏀, table tennis🎾 and even volleyball.🏐When the weather is great I also enjoy hiking with friends or just going out in the nature to explore the beautiful landscapes 📸
I would also love to get to know you! Let's meet! 🙏 I would like to hear your story. 😇

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
🤙 1. As a social animal I always enjoy meeting and adding people to my friends and acquaintances circle and with CouchSurfing it is guaranteed that I will meet and make friends along the way!
💸 2. To travel affordable - couch surfing is fun and enables young people like me to travel from place to place while spending less resources on housing.
NOTE TO HOSTS READING : I know You (hosts) are not hostels and hotels. I am respectful and considerate when it comes to following rules and boundaries. I am also very polite and considerate of my travel plans and always try to warn the people that would host me about them so they are aware 🤗
🧾 3. Because I love travelling! I heard about it so many times but never have I tried to be a host or to be a guest - it is time to try! See you all around people from CS. 😍

Music, Movies, and Books
🎧 Current favorite artists : John Summit, Eli Brown, Fred again.., HEDEGAARD
1. Electronical dance music (EDM) is my favourite! Let it be House or Techno I rave with all.
2. I enjoy Rap, RnB, Trap as well - Travis Scott, J Cole, Eminem, Gunna, 50 Cent, Drake, etc.
3. Pop hits are a must! That includes - The Weeknd, Ke$ha, Beyonce, Shakira, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taio Cruz, Chris Brown, Florida, etc.
🎬
1. I enjoy TV Series more than Movies but my most favorite movie is Jumper (2008)
2. When talking TV Series I cannot say I have a favorite but a TV series I enjoyed a lot include - The House of Dragon, The Boys, Gen V, Black Mirror, The Witcher, Outer Banks, Stranger Things, Umbrella Academy, Altered Carbon, Wednesday, Game of Thrones, Euphoria, You, Sex Education, The Boys, How to sell drugs online, The 100, Manifest, Peaky Blinders, Lupin, The Rookie, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and Elite. Probably missing a few.
📚
1. My first novel ever was Twilight - I was around 10 years old and until nowadays I still think it is not that bad of a story as the internet is portraying it.... They just ruined it with the movies, the books are actually interesting to read or so I thought when I was little. I have not re-read them ever since.
2. I enjoy thrillers - and I have read some rented out books from friends that I cannot even remember the names of but the plot twists in them were definitely mind-blowing!
3. Science fiction and adventure is also my thing - I have read all of The Witcher and The Hobbit, Throne of Glass, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, The Serpent and the Wings of Night also The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King.
However, recently I have not read any novels but actually switched to some more psychological books such as "How to read people" or "The ways of manifestation".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are a lot but…
👦 1. The biggest and most amazing thing that I have done was taking the decision and having the support to move my hometown at 16. The education was stale and I felt that I am not having the proper environment for me to grow so I changed cities and lived in a dorm for 4 years while pursuing my High school diploma 🎒. That made me change my personality in order to live by myself - I became more social in order to get around the new city I was living in 🌆. Ever since then I cannot thank myself and my parents more for this decision because I cannot imagine myself being the old, introverted and shy person I once was 🔂.
😎 2. I traveled all around the USA and back to Denmark in 10 days!! DC - Miami - Las Vegas - LA - SF - NYC - CPH. Total of 16,000+ kms (10 000+ miles) in 10 days. I would recommend as much as I would not. I was exhausted 🤣
✈️ 3. I visited 13 countries in 2023!! That’s more than 1 country a month! And somehow I managed to do that while studying and working thanks to Erasmus+, CouchSurfing and WorldPackers! 🥹
🤼 4. Participated in more than 10 (14 at the time of writing) Erasmus+ Youth Exchange projects!!

Unforgettable life memories and experiences - as someone who has travelled around most countries in Europe I can definitely say I have seen some cultural differences. I have also been a participant to 10+ Erasmus+ projects and can safely assume that I am the most open-minded person one can meet. By the age of 22 I have already lived in 3 different countries and 5 different cities and have met many friends and acquaintances along my journey. Except previous experiences I can share good mood, laughs, positive vibes and smiles!
