About Me

I have been living in converted vans, tents, occupied buildings in different parts of this world for a while now. On and off for many years, and after finishing my master's a couple of years back, that's been giving me joy and provided more than I could ever ask for. I still find most enjoyment in simplicity. Out of the countless things I did in my lifetime to put food on the table, non of them should serve as a description of myself. I find it rather irritating to define myself by the stuff I do to make money. Also, I find it irritating to describe myself on a profile like this to begin with haha.

I love when things get intense. I love complexity, the outdoors, rock climbing and everything that nature offers. I love to be philosophical beyond the point of showing off knowledge. I appreciate helping people who have been less fortunate. I want to give a voice to people who cannot speak out for themselves (which is why I studied documentary filmmaking and global studies I suppose...) I can't imagine a life without music, books, nature. I find enjoyment in all kind of creativity. Always keen on learning and improving languages as they open doors to a more profound understanding of our life I find. So even if I am not interested in a conversation I can still find enjoyment if it is in a foreign language :) At times I find enjoyment in being by myself. In nature. maybe meditating. But I suppose if you are reading this, that's not what I am looking for at this point haha. Since I do not have a home for now, I cannot offer to host. However, I am always happy to help people who are willing to host me in whatever way that is going to be.

I pretty much distanced myself from the couchsurfing platform eversince it was commercialized years back. Which I honestly find very sad. However, that's another story alltogether.

And I do believe that there is still a great many interesting people out there whose company I would enjoy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe in the concept of people working together. No, I am not verified and won't be. For a reason. I don't believe in the commericialization of this project.

I don't think I have talked that much about myself in a long time, but you are more than welcome to find out more on a personal level!

Music, Movies, and Books

I honestly don't know where to start. music, films and books have been accompanying me throughout my life. I went from The Doors through Thom Yorke to the more experimental side and maybe back haha. If I post the books I love the most I become an open book myself. Something I don't feel too comfortable doing on any platform really :)

Being a self-proclaimed filmmaker I would suggest you take a look on a documentary I did in South Africa and maybe grasp a thing or two about the staggering inequality in this part of the world...
