Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

giving and receiving, learning and teaching

ABOUT ME

I'm open, communicative, people say i have a great sense of humor. I'm always ready for action and adventure, which has sometimes gotten me into dangerous situations, but i seem to be lucky (:
I'm tolerant, easy-going, not demanding. I try my best to be a good person. Whenever i fail, i try to correct it next time and hope to always make progress in life, not to stagnate...

PHILOSOPHY

Eclecticism. You can find words of wisdom in all the worlds corners, religions, philosophies... you just have to look carefully.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new, but i hope to be both surfing and hosting.

Intereses

Well, main thing in my life are films. One day i'd like to be directing feature films, but in the meantime i'm practicing with short amateur films. Preparing and shooting a film is a long process so it leaves me a lot of time for other things in between. I make photos, play in an experimental band called BICIKL, we travel, have fun... Also, it's impossible to make a living out of short films in Serbia, so I finished Audio-Video Technologies college and work in the field a lot now. Live sound for bands, traveling on tours, editing videos, doing sound for commercials, films etc.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I have an apartment in Neum, Bosnia. That's the only Bosnian city on the seaside. The place itself is really weird, but i'll leave that for another story. It's actually a bay, and there are two hills that look like they are protecting the entrance, and when you're standing at the coast you can see the open sea only at this small part between the two hills. And then, in August, only for a couple of days, the sun sets EXACTLY between those two hills. When you take a picture of it, it's just another lame good looking sunset, but being there and actually seeing it is priceless...

We were traveling for an Audio Engineering Convention in Munich, i was driving, and i was the only driver in the car, so we had to find a place to sleep over. We decided to try Innsbruck, Austria. That place is really wonderful. It was summer, the temperature was real high, but you could still see snow at the mountains above the city.
We were looking for some pub/restaurant with local food, but we didn't want a touristic place. After a while we found this really old, remote pub and went inside. It was smokey inside, and half of the guys seemed like they never leave the place. Some old folks had huge moustache and were wearing traditional Austrian clothes. They weren't really happy to see us, you could tell that we didn't belong there. Waiter came, speaking in a heavy Schwarzenegger accent of English and we asked for some local soup as a starter. I didn't speak a word of German at the time. He recommended something that sounded like Knoedelsomethingsomethingsuppe. We thought, okay we take that for the beginning and later probably some barbeque specialty. There were four of us, and when the soups came we were pretty surprised. It wasn't really soup, it was more like some gravy gotten from roasting meat, it was really thick and REALLY fat and in each plate there were two things floating - something like dumplings made of bread, potatoes and various types of fried meat. All of my friends ate only one of those dumplings and gave up, while i ate mine two and then cleaned all the other plates as well. While i was finishing off, i took a look in the corner were the geezers sat and saw one of these old guys twisting his moustache and nodding his head, like he was trying to tell me "You're accepted into our society.". My stomach hurt the whole day, but it was worth it (:
