ABOUT ME

I'm a guy that's interested in anything other people are passionate about. Be it music, sports, tv or anything, I'm curious to learn about it. I also like to help people. If you have a problem, I am all ears to help out.

My own hobbies include photography, sports, reading, partying. To mimic the facebook wall I have dedicated a piece of actual wall in my house to photo's. If you like to be in it, be sure to drop me a line :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do not have a spare room, but do have a large comfy 2-person airbed. And of course a big couch that people can crash on. My work hours are to some extent flexible, but during weekdays I'll be primarily working...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted, surfed, organised and attended on more than one occasion. It taught me that people anywhere are very similar, with the same experience and problems but with a unique perspective that makes it different each time.

I also learned that it does pay off to spend time beforehand to determine why you want the person that you want as a host is interesting. In particular in areas with a large number of couch surfers (Amsterdam, London) a well written request is the thing that distinguishes you from the ten other requests that come in daily.

All in all: couchsurfing is legendary!

Intereses

I spend my life working as an investment consultant, but that's a boring part of life. Sports, photography are much more interesting, as are culture, dark chocolate, beer and wine, music, movies, books and so many more things.

Algo increíble que he hecho

The first moment that comes to mind was the wedding of one of my best friends. The love they expressed for each other and how other people talked about it was very touching. The second moment is the sunset in the Doubtful Sound in New Zealand. So peaceful and quiet, up to now nothing can compete with that.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I have studied astronomy, so I can tell you all about the stars (and some on the underlying math and physics as well, as far as I remember that stuff). I am currently employed in the financial services, so I also know a thing or two about the current economic crisis. I am a qualified volleyball trainer, so I can teach you a thing or two on that as well.
