About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel to new places and host

ABOUT ME

Hi/Hola!,

I am a traveler at heart -- discovering the world, meeting memorable characters, experiencing awesome nature, and finding good adventure, eating great food, are among the reasons why travel means so much to me.

My background is mixed -- Peruvian mother, Swiss father, I was born in Venezuela and grew up in the US. Currently I live in Burlington, Vermont where I just accepted a job as a business broker. Formerly, I was managing a Cheese and Wine store, studied my masters for a year in Copenhagen, worked as an assistant hotel manager in Miami, TEFL English Teacher in Istanbul, and spent a summer as a milfoil scuba diver.

I'm a very positive person, easy going and low-maintenance. I look forward to meeting great people, sharing cultural experiences, and having fun!

Tambien hablo espanol, pues nos podemos comunicar en cualquier idioma...

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is simple: kindness.

"In the world through which I travel, I am endlessly creating myself" - Franz Fanon

"If our lives are dominated by a search for happiness, then perhaps few activities reveal as much about the dynamics of this quest –in all its ardor and paradoxes – then our travels. They express, however inarticulately, what life might be about" -- Alain de Botton, Art of Travel

And Thomas Hobbes is a bad-ass philosopher

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first breaths underwater as a scuba diver blew my mind -- the feeling of being a true foreigner in an environment/ecosystem not fit for human habitation, esp in a busy reef with lots of activity. It's the act being a visitor in it's most fundamental form...wild experience, have loved scuba diving ever since

Teach, Learn, Share

All kinds of people, esp those who are optimistic, unique in their own right, appreciate others, have good energy

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Jordan, Malawi, Montenegro, Mozambique, Panama, Peru, Slovenia, Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, Tanzania

Countries I’ve Lived In

Denmark, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United States
