ABOUT ME

After graduating last year from McGill University in Environmental Science and International Development, I thought it was about time I took a year off and went to discover the world. So, I packed up my bags, and went backpacking around South America for 5 months! It was incredible. I camped, hiked, biked through deserts, trecked through rainforests.... I managed to see Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, Bolivia and Peru. What a spectacular experience to live there, travel there, and above all COUCH SURF there with locals! I will admit, I had never heard of couch surfing before going on this trip. But man, how this has ever changed my views on things! Thanks to the incredible people I met down there, I had a totally different trip. A totally BETTER trip. I pretty much love couch surfing now, and want to get involved in it now that Ive moved to Vancouver.

PHILOSOPHY

Get the most out of life. See as much of this beautiful planet as you can. But try to conserve resources and be as environmentally friendly as possible! Give and take. Experience new cultures. Never stop learning.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surfed a lot in South America, and it was spectacular. I might be able to surf these days, but I am living at my parents house temporarily so that may not be feasible. However, id really like to participate in Couch surfing groups and events around town!

Outdoor activities: hiking, mountain biking, trekking, surfing. Am a swimmer by nature. Am quite into environmental issues. Love to check out new places, new cities. Also like to see live bands, try new foods...

I really like to follow up on world news and politics. Im quite open to most genres of music! Really like elektronik/techno party, reggeaton, country, but also rock and other alternative stuff to chill out to.

One amazing thing I have done/seen... well living in a remote community in the Panamanian jungle working with an environmental NGO was pretty awesome. Also, backpacking through South America for 5 months, biking through the Atacama Desert, checking out the largest salt flats in the world, seeing the Amazon Rainforest from the plane...
