About Me

Hi, I'm Stefi. I work in IT and I love it. I am doing my master's right now and I developed a passion for research.
I love English. Absolutely love it. I know I sometimes make mistakes as it is not my mother tongue but my mind works and wanders in English.
I am a bit of a foodie. That is why I also started a cooking class for tourists. It's called: Mama Maradin's Traditional Cooking Class. My mam actually keeps the class going by showing our guests not only how to cook, but some Romanian traditions while cooking and dinning.
If you decide we want to meet up, I will probably bring John, my boyfriend along. He was the one that made me fall in love with Brasov all over again!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think our world forgot the basics. We forgot to just sit down and have a lovely conversation.
I love cooking so when I'll finally have my own place I would probably have a lot of dinners for everyone.
Couchsurfing: because people are more honest. Sure there may be some assholes out there but true friendships were made through couchsurfing and I think that's beautiful.

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much like any kind of music that has an actual message.

I enjoy the type of movies that make you think or that are not putting it all out there: Casablanca, Scent of a Woman, The Imitation Game, Interstellar, Into the Wild etc.

My favorite books are from the author Irvin I. Yalom. The one that struck me in particular is 'The Schopenhauer Cure'. I love the fact that in all his books he presents the life of philosophers and this is what I enjoy: listening to life stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've accepted my insecurities and I can accept feedback.
I am a perfectionist and if anyone told me it was not good enough or it could have been done in any other way, I would have cracked. Heart broken mind blurred kind of thing.
Now things look good, I know I'm not perfect (harder to accept then you'd think) and I don't expect myself to be.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you English and Romanian. Sewing or cooking maybe.

I want to learn...basically everything there is to learn.

I can share my spiritual experiences if you are interested. Plus, my time. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook. I can't say I'm amazing, but I love staying in the kitchen with everything I need and do my thing.
