About Me
*** PROFILE NEEDS TO BE UPDATED, I'LL DO SO SOON***
Coming from the region around Berlin (Brandenburg / Havelland) and having lived in Berlin during my Bachelor in Biology, I now moved to Witzenhausen in the heart of Germany which is THE place to study organic farming.
I like forceful colors and kind people and dancing in my room (and on parties) and singing under the shower and sometimes I can be a bit too cheerful for people to stand it, especially when I am happy. Cooking for my loved one's and share the food love with them when eating yummy stuff I like to take care of people that matter to me (concerning that, I am a bit of a mommy, I guess).
My upcoming plans are to see more styles of organic farming and alternative styles of living. So far I worked on bio-dynamic farms (Demeter, for the people who know) which go along with the anthroposophic point of view. I was very amazed by the way people interact on these farms, with themselves, the animals, plants and the soils. One of the farms was included in a camp-hill-style village for handicapped people which opened my mind even further about different ways of how people can live and work and act together. The work with the handicapped showed me that it doesn't matter what a person's capabilities are to be a lovable and full member of a community, it matters that your heart is open.
Lazy sundays are hardly a possible thing for me, I like to get up and going; provided a bike (or maybe a sociable doggie) and a nice area, I will start to travel around, exploring my new area, trying to find some spots where others might not have been yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hosted some Couchsurfers myself by now and in my shared flats I could experience the idea of hosting CS guests from my flatmates as well. Those were precious moments when I learned about the "traveller's spirit" which comes along with the concept of CS. I love to help out with a nice place to stay and to spend time together :)
Some of my friends are on CS for a long time and they keep telling me about the open-minded atmosphere every host owns. I'd love to experience that.
Couchsurfing can give me the opportunity to meet people in their everyday lifes while travelling their area.
Last time we hosted a surfer at my house, he and my flat mates, we were sitting on the floor in my room, having a small jam session and he was playing a Romanian love song - you can never forsee a magic moment :)

Music, Movies, and Books
When I was younger I was absolutely into fantasy books, e. g. "Harry Potter", Trudi Canavan, Stephen King etc., but now I do not find the time anymore to read (or am I finding better excuses not to read?). I still love reading, but my interests changed a bit to stuff "that matters", like feminism, vegetarism, husbandry (for l started my Master in Organic Agricultur in April 2015) and organic nutrition in general.
Concerning music, I like songs which you can sing out loudly! French chansons, Metal, Björk, The Beatles, Elvis, The Police, Die Ärzte, Kleingeldprinzessin, King Charles eeeeeeeeeeet cetera, i. e. music with a message.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I discovered that living together is my style of living :)
I spent a year with an US-American family to be a nanny / au-pair, I moved into a shared flat not knowing the people before and am always open to meet new people. I do not want to live alone, so I will always search for people living with me. I went to France not speaking French too well to do an internship for several months - and I adored it! Challenge yourself, never get boring!
Teach, Learn, Share
teach: German, English, some French, basics in organic farming, how to build a market stand from nothing more than some empty boxes and some boards, how to milk a cow (if cow provided), cooking
learn: guitar (my first song on guitar becomes solid now), local food and customs, how to travel in an alternative way, but I am open to everything, languages!
