Hello! My name is Stefanie and I'm a Korean American from Minnesota. I love to travel and try to do so whenever I can. I've studied abroad in Seoul, Berlin, and Florence, and have been to many other Asian and European countries in between. I love to meet new people and locals, and learn about the city and culture, while also finding good food. I'm very friendly and open, and also naturally curious about my environment :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My mom and I are planning a last-minute trip to Zurich and hopefully a few more cities. I have travelled quite a bit before, but my mom hasn't had too much of a chance to do so. This will be her first time overseas with me as an independent traveller, and not part of some tour package. I want her to meet locals and truly learn about the culture first-hand, as do I. We hope that we can meet some amazing, nice people out there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I interned at an organization for street and underprivileged children in Berlin despite the fact that my German is quite bad. It was a very difficult 3 months, but I told myself, if I can get through the first week, I can do anything in my life. And, I not only made it, but I loved it! It was an amazing opportunity, where I got to work with some wonderful children and learned a lot about not only better ways to engage with children, but about myself as well. I miss them a lot!
