About Me

Hey there :)

I'm Steffi, currently working in the wonderful holiday region of Ammersee, near Munich, in the field of marketing and events management for a company dealing with all sorts of water treatment. Before that, I was studying Sports, Culture and Events Management in Austria. And I was, I am and I always will be truely passionate about travelling!

When I'm not busy with work, I can be found rollerblading, dancing, hiking, enjoying time with my family and friends, listening to music or exploring the world with its beautiful countries.

I'm an open-minded and very positive thinking person, I love to get to know people from different cultural backgrounds and I always have a smiley face ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Actually, it was my sister who convinced me to check it out during my time travelling through Canada, BC in summer :)

And since I love travelling and connecting with people from countries I visit instead of going to the most touristy places while staying in super expensive hotels and apartments, I experienced being part of the couchsurfing community while being a guest at people's houses and I love it! One could say I almost got addicted to meeting up with these awesome people!

They welcome you as "strangers" but within hours you can be part of their group of friends or family. People I've stayed with so far were so respectful, trustworthy, understanding, open-minded and interested in sharing great stories and traditions.

First of all, I couldn't understand how they were able trust you within such a short period of time and all this kindness they offered without asking for anything in return but then I learned that it's all about connecting across cultures, sharing experiences of life and learning from each others life lessons.

Meeting people from Couchsurfing changed my way of thinking, broadened my horizons and let me develop new goals for life.

I'm proud of being a member on Couchsurfing and love to share my experiences with others while hosting and being a guest!
