About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm Stefanie.
And what else there is to say about me? As everyone would write, I'm an open minded, interested and easy going person. I guess you could add playful. I like calm people who are sometimes loud better than loud people who are sometimes calm. And I consider myself a sloth, yet sometimes a manic one. For the rest, you have to get to know me in real life.
PHILOSOPHY
To live and let live.
And I'm very sure that we are in charge of what happens to our planet and our society.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I host, but I've already surfed some couches and will definitely do that again in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted and also surfed some couches before.
Something that is very important to me: I love CS and I'm happy to help anyone out. But there are so so many different people on CS, so in my opinion it's only normal you'll meet people with whom you'll get better along and people where there's just no chemistry. I will talk to and smile at everyone, share my food and flat and make your stay as happy as I can since I care for you as my guest, even if we do not have much to talk about. If it goes, it goes and that's great, if it doesn't, that's no problem either. Just like not every human being you meet on the street can be your soulmate.
Interests
Not only because I work in a library I love reading. I read very much but never enough: my list of books I have to read gets longer and longer. Also, I write.
I'm interested in everything since I'm not the person who has one specific hobby. I like discussing, politics, theology, philosophy, silk, traveling, festivals, sculpting, jewelry, sewing, partying, art, design, music, food, red wine, beer, books, people, lakes, autumn, history and dolce far niente.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Don't ask me which I loved most. But maybe I can tell some books which had a big influence in my life: Der gute Mensch von Sezuan (Bertold Brecht), Das Stundenbuch (Rainer Maria Rilke), The Ciderhouse Rules (John Irving), Le deuxième sexe (Simone de Beauvoir)
Movies: It's easier to tell you the only two genres I absolutely hate: Romcoms and horror movies
Music: Rock (Garage, Indie, Psych ... ), Jazz, Blues, Gypsy, World music ...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can everything a bit, but nothing very good (except thinking maybe). But I'm sure we'll find something you can learn from me and something I can learn from you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Swiss Chocolate. It is the very best. And good beer, I know where to find it.
