ABOUT ME

I’m a photographer and videographer based in New York City :) I’m an avid adventurer, obsessed with capturing other people’s stories and documenting new experiences.

i was born in las vegas on the 4th of july, but i grew up on a farm in small-town central Florida.
i got a bachelor's in creative writing from Florida State, and also lived in London to study literature! After college, I lived in the US Virgin Islands and worked as a sailor/snorkel instructor. I later, backpacked Europe for several months, spent some time in the states, traveled through Central America, and just recently finished a 3-month-long road trip from Florida to California in a hippie van with 6 friends :)
currently: the handsome man i fell in love with on ^^ said road trip and i are traveling around again, in search for inspiration and truth :)

i couchsurfed through europe and hosted a gatherings in the states! i haven't hosted surfers yet, but i look forward to it soon! :)

i have met the greatest people through couchsurfing! some of my best friends and favorite experiences are all thanks to this site. it's such an open and optimistic community of like-minded life lovers :)

Interests

i'm passionate about traveling, writing, photography, and videography. i've fallen in love with skydiving, sailing, freediving, snorkeling, and scuba diving. i love meeting new people and talking philosophy and sharing experiences. i love brie cheese and chai tea and red wine. i think music and laughter are the best medicines ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

David and I just recently walked 500 miles (800km) across Spain on the Camino de Santiago in honor of my dad :)

Teach, Learn, Share

i can help with english (the language) and english (the study of literature--in other words, i can recite shakespeare, ginsberg, and kerouac while intoxicated). i can teach a thing or two about marine life in the caribbean (from what i remember from my snorkel instructing days) in case we happen to be there together? and i can share a general positivity about the interconnectedness of all life.

i'd like to learn about the experiences that made you who you are! i find long conversations about relationships, communication, spirituality, sociology, politics, health, art, etc., etc., SO invigorating. i'm also itching to learn more about organic farming and permaculture!
