About Me

My name is Stefanie, I am 25 and from Germany. I have lived the last 7 months in Christchurch, New Zealand while I was doing a research project at the University of Canterbury. Back in Germany I am doing a Master program in Biotechnology.
I am a pretty relaxed and open minded person. At the moment I try to figure out what I want to do with my life after I have graduated,

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couchsurfing, but I like to try new things and get to know new people. So I think think this is a really good way to combine both. It is also a great opportunity to really get to know a place and the people living there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not really have some favorite bands or artists. I like a lot from different genres as well. But it must suit my recent mood.

Some of my favorite books: The fault in our stars, War and Peace, Lord of the Rings, Gut gegen Nordwind, A thousand splendid suns

The Notebook, Lord of the Rings, Actually love, Gladiator, Games of Thrones, Homeland

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked through the European Alps from Germany to Italy last year. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but at the same time the most satisfying. It is just an amazing feeling to wake up in the morning in the middle of the mountains, pack all your stuff together and go ahead.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some crazy science stuff, teach you a bit of German if you like and I know how to make German Spätzle.

I'd like to improve my French and Spanish skills, but I am keen to learn anything new as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a friendly and clean guest. I think my cooking skills are not that bad, so maybe I can cook a meal for you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, New Zealand
