ABOUT ME

I am generally quite extroverted and love to throw giant parties whenever I get the chance. I am very passionate about a lot of music and have been to an uncountable number of concerts. Yes, I would love to listen to your fire mixtape.
I am South Jersey bred and born. Philadelphia is my city. "I have no skills or special talents, I am only passionately curious." Einstein said that. I believe all of our capabilities exceed our expectations of ourselves. I would love to hear your wisdom, tricks, and ideas about life and I'd be happy to share some of mine. I love to forget about the time if the conversation is good. I have never been much for routine or structure, though I envy those who do have such things. I volunteer with the American Red Cross as a caseworker and disaster responder. I absolutely love what I do with them and hope to have a career in similar work at some point in my life. I do not partake in any drugs or alcohol, though I don't mind if you do. Invite me to the bar with you if there's karaoke involved, please! I love to cook and bake but I do need to follow a recipe.

PHILOSOPHY

I attach myself to no religion or particular label, yet I like to think my moral standing is one that would appease a God if one does happen to exist.
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
I am very idealistic, and I have no shame about being a hopeless dreamer. In the words of Fiona Apple, "I just want to feel everything." I close my eyes to nothing.
I am very comfortable around folx in the LGBT community.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I met a friend through couchsurfing who I asked to host me but ended up staying with ME during my visit to Paris, which was a fantastic time. I also stayed with a woman at the end of my Paris trip who I will always remember fondly. My boyfriend has dabbled as well. We have discussed hosting when we settle into Jacksonville!

I just like to be around people. Whatever it is you are into, unless it's REALLY dangerous, I'll be down to try it. Outdoor/indoor, intense/relaxed, niche/boring is all good with me. Also I've recently discovered that I love hanging out with and working with kids!

I grew up with the blues and modern folk. I've come to love jam bands, classic rock, hip-hop that comes from the heart, jazz, as well and music undefinable by common category. I'm up for club music, too, I'll never be too old to dance. I LOVE going to open mics and feeling the raw emotion of brave artists. I humbly envy their ability to express themselves.
