About Me
EDIT: Sorry people, I can't host in this period because of job commitments :(
I'm an Italian PhD student living in Pisa, where I moved around 5 years ago.
By the time being I live alone in a small apartment in the centre of Pisa. I have not plenty of free time, but when I can I'm always glad to host a fellow surfer. During the week I rather be able to host because of the routine (you know, working is boring but necessary), but during the weekends I'm almost always going for a beer in good company.
As for who I am: that's a pretty complicate question. Apart being a PhD student in Physics, I spend much time into sports (athletics and football), playing music and trying to put an effort into politics. There many other small hobbies, like cooking, but if I'd say it all now, why should you want to meet me?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that meeting the locals it's the best way to enjoy a place you've never seen before: hey can teach you the culture of that place and usually they know about the best things to do/see. I also love the idea that someone is going to trust me up to open his doors to me, and conversely, I like the idea to open my house to strangers: trusting each other is a good way to make the world better.
Interests
Almost everything! From nightlife to exploring nature, I think that when you go somewhere you should be open to take the best the place can offer!

Music, Movies, and Books
One premise must be said: I play the bass guitar and I'm also some kind of singer. I'm also trying to learn guitar (I jut need to find the time!) So, as for music , I hear to the most various tunes from the most diverse genres, and I'm alwways open to listening to a new one!
Talking about books I really love British and American literature, especially the most famous authors like Conrad, Capote, Foster Wallace, Pinchon, Auster and many others. Of course, I also love Italian literature and, of course, all the classics.
Some of my favourite directors are Cohen brothers, Shyamalan and Tarantino. I also love Italian cinema, both the old and the new, from Fellini to Sorrentino.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Body rafting in Gole dell'Alcantara: amazing!
Sleeping outside a train station (Remember: always ask if the station closes for the night)
Loosing the flight to go back home (Suggestion:always check to be at the correct airport)
Teach, Learn, Share
I suppose you want to learn things you don't know and the same holds for me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live alone in an apartment in the centre of Pisa. There are a bedroom, a living room (where the couch is), a dinner room, kitchen and the bathroom. I can provide bedsheets if necessary.
I have a couch that can become a quite comfortable bed for 1 person (two people may fit only if they're not too big and disposable to stay tight!).
I like to listen to travel stories and adventures and all the other interesting and funny things you want to share, and the other way round.
