ABOUT ME
World is beautiful, fascinating and amazing. I like nature and I like to protect the environment.
I love travelling and meeting new cultures.
We have to live respecting the Earth, rethinking our habits, our way to exist. So many people spend theis time buying and consuming and this, for many of them, is the only way they know.
In this epoch people is living without consciousness of their actions. There's an incredible exploitation of the Earth's resources, with pollution caused by massive use of petroleum and its derivatives, wars and famines caused by economical interests. And what we do? We think about changing mobile phone, car or fashion clothes.
It seems we completely lost the orientation in this world. What's the meaning of altruism? How many consider this word? This society says that all the things and actions could be paid: for everything there's a price. But there's a limit, and this is do things for free, for the simple pleasure to offer something to someone or to the whole community.
Looking at the people, often I observe they don't smile. Very often the reason is that they are too stressed because of the work. At the end, a lot of people think they are living, but simply they're existing. They often listen to music because they think it is a good way to relax: they maybe anaesthetize their mind. As it happens in the metro station: music and advertisements cover deliberately our precious silence and possibility to relax and think. We think to receive a service, music in a public place, when instead it is an underhand violence we suffer. This is on purpose, to increase stress and avoid to use our magnificent potential of human beings.
It's very important to find a social sense in life. Life is: people you love, people you meet, the landscape you see, the odours you smell, the colours around you, the hands you shake, the people you talk with or the people you can help. When someone becomes unable to appreciate all these little things, he/she is "ill".
Egoisms and ignorance are big issues in the world.
When I met people out of the usual frames imposed by the consumerist society I'm happy because we can really exchange something. So, our goal is to come back to a condition of awareness and spontaneity.
PHILOSOPHY
It' very important to cooperate to achieve wider goals. I like to live in a district where you can greet people, where you can chat with them, where, if needed, you can join the forces to make something useful for the whole community.

Interests
I like running, riding bicycle, swimming. I'm interested in politics and nature.
I established an environmental association: www.brigateverdi.altervista.org, based in Rome. I'm very active in the protection of the environment.
I read a lot, especially in the spare time on the public transportation.
I like music, but I think that listening to music with headphones while travelling is a bad habit.
I joined WWOOF: through this association you can work in organic farms in return of food and accommodation. I went in Essex, in England. Very nice experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I plant trees. We need more green areas!
In march 2016 I walked alone through the region Puglia, Province of Foggia. It was my first long trip on foot, nearly 180 km. I met many very nice people and I saw so beautiful places. I don't understand why we have to go abroad to see different places, when very often we don't know at all what's beside us, on the hills and mountains in our country.
