About Me

I'm a half Italian, half English, travel mad Londoner looking to experience the world and its peoples one piece at a time. Love nothing more than when I'm travelling and meeting new people, it has always enriched me as an individual, shaping my development and making me a better person.

I bring enthusiasm and positive vibes by the bucket load and that coupled with a never dying flair for adventure and a never say never attitude means I'm ready to experience wherever you are in the world right now!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm all about spreading love, positivity and good karma to people worldwide and for that reason I'll strive to be the best person you will ever have the pleasure of hosting. In doing so I hope to experience new cultures, create new stories and forge new friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime.

Experiencing new faces and places has always bought a smile to my face which is why I don't want it to ever stop! :)

Interests

Admittedly my first real love is football. I've played it most my life and even worked as a coach (Chelsea FC) and football analyst whilst in London. Think the power of teaching and learning through sport is a great way to connect with people and especially children.

Adore most things music related (more about that later) and I work at Sun & Bass music festival in Sardinia for 2 weeks every September and have been doing so since 2011.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is the universal language of mankind. It forms part of my very being and I adore it in all its forms. From reggae to jazz, hip hop to drum and bass I listen to it all. A wise person once told me, there is no such thing as a bad music genre, just bad music in a genre.

Love watching films in general and have to admit I have a soft spot for thrillers. Overall though I'm open minded to all film genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmmm. Have so many travel stories its hard to just pick one...

Bolivia probably gets this. The international cash card I was using got blocked...whilst I was on the 3 day journey through the Altiplano desert in Bolivia. I had no cash left, no signal on my phone, and no way to get any money to travel. Ended up having to befriend locals, shopkeepers, travellers etc to not only make it to La Paz for free (550km journey), but also to survive 1 night homeless on the streets on La Paz. Needless to say it was a crazy few days in a beautiful part of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

A degree in Football and Business studies which has given me a highly technical knowledge of the game of football and this, along with my 15 years experience as a football coach has given me a wealth of experience dealing with children of all ages and how to teach and guide them.

English language skills as its my first language I speak it perfectly. I can offer assistance and help in tutoring English be it writing, speaking or listening. I also speak fluent Italian and conversational Spanish so would be more than willing to help with both these languages.

Being half Italian has given me a good base for cooking as well so any chance to share a meal with new friends would be welcomed :)

General housekeeping and computer skills is a given with me and I also have some very basic building skills. Nothing too complicated but painting, finishing and some basic construction I've done before.

Overall though I would be willing to put my hand to anything if I am able to help out in any way.
