About Me

Hi there - 22 year old Austrian who grew up on the countryside and tried to escape it ever since. (Austria is beautiful though, don't get me wrong)

I would consider myself to be pretty open-minded, meaning that I can't and won't deal with people that are racist, sexist, homophobic etc. If that's that case, please don't bother approaching me.

Besides that I'm always interested in learning something new and curious about basically anything. ;)

Describing yourself always seems quite unnecessary to me, since everyone's got a different perception of that anyway, so let's just meet up so we can all make up our own mind. I would definitely look forward to getting to know you, wherever you are from :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems to me to be the perfect opportunity to get to know really nice and loving people, whom you wouldn't meet any other way, for differnt reasons.
I guess we all tend to judge people at first sight, no matter how much we hate that - I love that you get to know and like people on couchsurfing that you wouldn't meet in your 'natural habitat' at home.

Interests

I love music and everything connected to it like going to as well as setting up shows, hanging out at festivals and especially making and writing music myself. I play in a band and spent most of my spare time somehow related to music.

I used to skate a lot but got a bit lazy over the last two years since I spend most of my summers away and I preferred jamming with friends while I was at home.

Basically I just love doing things like going to places or just hanging out with friends. Besides that I read a lot and I would probably have to admit that I'm slightly addicted to watching series.

Music, Movies, and Books

Toughest question. I'm probably the worst person when it comes to deciding what I like best but I'll give it a try.

Books: I love authors like Hubert Selby Jr, Irvine Welsh or Salinger, etc. I enjoy books that focus on personalities the most, I'm not really into fiction, but always open for recommendations and I really enjoy a chat about books :D

I won't even get started with music. There's honestly way too much I like. From The Smiths and Joy Division to all the pop-punk crap I grew up with, to 90s hip hop, to Indie and Alternative bands you can dance to, to music you could never dance to, to mostly hardcore/punk stuff (diy), so basically all forms of alternative music I guess. There's probably no other topic I enjoy talking about more ..

Movies: slightly weird stuff in the vein of Wes Anderson, Terrentino movies of course and I honestly love all that teenage/coming-of-age films haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I capsized a ship once and felt like I pirate. (I was drunk and I'm not that proud of it.)

Teach, Learn, Share

Always wanna learn stuff. I can teach you how to juggle or some simple chords of guitar. Besides that I can introduce you to something called kendama, and you will most definitely get addicted to this little toy. :)
