About Me
ABOUT ME
I hate this part. I never know how to talk about myself on these things. But here I go. I guess the most important thing you need to know about me is that my faith in God drives me, and allows me to enjoy life and appreciate all kinds of people. My friendships and relationships are really important to me. I tend to have fewer, but deeper friendships. I like getting to know people who are different than me, because I feel there's a lot to be shared between our differences. But it's fun to discover common ground as well. I'm a teacher so I enjoy talking (obviously), learning, reading, and thinking about things. I have a serious side but also cut-up and like to have fun. I'm a pretty easy-going person and up for just about anything. I like doing things I've never done before.
PHILOSOPHY
Micah 6:8
"What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Favorite since childhood- Summer of My German Soldier by Bette Greene. Favorite as an adult- Toss up between Through Painted Deserts and Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. I read non-fiction mostly. Favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, Mary Pipher, Donald Miller, Rob Bell, and too many more to name. Should also mention the Bible here :)
Movies: Favorite, hmmm...it's a tie between Good Will Hunting and Life is Beautiful.
Music: The Civil Wars, Jenny & Tyler, David Crowder band, Derek Webb, Sandra McCracken.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My pilgrimage to Oxford to visit the home and favorite pub of MY favorite author, C.S. Lewis. No one else may think this is cool, but getting to see where he lived and collected his thoughts and inspirations as a writer was AMAZING!
