I found couchsurfing through travel blogs while researching my trip to Iceland.

WHY I WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Contact and exchange makes our life richer and the world a better place. It's much more interesting than hotels and it's closer to the spirit of travel which is embodied by risk taking and trust. It is much more than a cheap sleep if you let it be.

Interessen

woods, suburbs, cities, trash heaps, parking garages, underpasses, gas stations, culverts, abandoned high rises, laundromats, fish hatcheries, undeveloped developments, munitions plants, whatever is available and on hand I'm into to it, to touch, hear, smell, and taste it, for contact, to hear the sound of history licking its finger and turning the page.

and I've been taught life lessons. Lol.
