ABOUT ME

Actually it is "ABOUT US"
So this is me (Steffen,32) and my girlfriend (Helena,27) currently travelling around the world. We had a daily rat race, office jobs, paying rent etc. feeling not that happy but always used every opportunity for (our last 9 years together) to escape into adventures hitchhiking around Europe, camping, sailing...mainly outdoor stuff. Also at home during free time, it was the contrast program of office-life, spending our time in the garden growing own food or some "construction" at the workshop.
Long story short, in February 2023 we quit everything at home and went to Ireland for 6 months to volunteer on organic farms (wwoofing). After that we went to Asia for travels, meanwhile another 6 months, but still doing and always looking for something useful, sensefull, workaway, wwoofing, now or then to meet locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals is probably the best way to get to know to the country you travel to. So far had the best experience to meet the people via hitchhiking, couchsurfing, work or volunteer somewhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I had a fierce fighting between my zipper and my beard (at some time this weird red thing at my chin was quite long).It was horrible but I won!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach that german food is not just about potatoes and Sauerkraut (though I love potatoes muahaha) and we're not that serious and strict. Share everything I can.
