About Me
2015 FIREFLY ATTENDEES: So sorry, but we're full up on couchsurfers for the Festival this year. Please consider making your request at least 1 month in advance next year! Good luck and have a great time!
CURRENT MISSION
Making the greatest positive impact on as many lives as possible.
ABOUT ME
I love being alive! Life is constantly throwing curve balls and it's been quite an adventure working through it all. I love my work as a musician, and spend a lot of time volunteering with the Miss Delaware Scholarship Organization. I served as a Youth Ambassador through AmeriCorps 2013 and now continue to work for Connecting Generations as a mentor coordinator.
My family is fantastic, and I am so grateful for its presence in my life. I have the coolest little brother in the world, and my grandparents have been a couple of my best friends. The day will come that Tim and I are ready to move away from Delaware, but for now, we're going to stay put and enjoy the awesome people in our lives.
PHILOSOPHY
"This too shall pass"
Because nothing lasts forever, I can count on being about to get through negatives and I'll always appreciate positives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel and see new places, but I love to meet new people even more. I love experiencing new cultures from a more personal perspective. I believe that a day is not complete if contact with another human hasn't been made.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My best friend, Tim, and I joined CS before our road trip to the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2010. We stayed with three different hosts who each left an awesome impression on me. Since then, we've continued to travel and our eleven separate hosts from our January 2012 road trip were also testaments to the quality of people that make up this Couch Surfing community. Now that we've settled in Dover after our wedding, we have had the pleasure of hosting a handful of really great surfers!
Hosting is a ton of fun as well, providing great opportunities to share my hometown, family, and friends with couchsurfers that visit. I've been privileged to host some spectacular people and hope that more find reason to pass through Dover.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In June 2009, I went to China with the University of Delaware Chorale on tour. We climbed the Great Wall of China and sang with several Chinese college choirs. Meeting students from a totally different culture and then coming together to sing the same music was a huge testament to the power of music and its ability to bring people together.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach- I don't think I can teach you how to sing in a single visit, but we can certainly try!
Learn- Chances are if we're couch surfing, then we're probably from different places, so I would love to learn about YOU and your home. My experiences so far have taught me that even a short conversation will reveal much about our differences and similarities. Also... I'd really like to learn to juggle.
Share- Music! I would love to hear about your favorite music or even make music with you. I'm a singer that usually travels with my best friend (and husband) who can plan tons of instruments, so we're always up for a little performance if you are.
