About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be thankful for what you got, William de Vaughn

ABOUT ME

I'm a small dutch/french/indonesian person who likes to talk, listen, eat (especially the discovering part) and share at all times with known and unknown persons. Discovery has to be constant for me and for that, the CS concept is brilliant! If you happen to come to Paris or whathever other cities i might be in, my greatest pleasure to show you around.

PHILOSOPHY

I've been taught to have a positive attitude towards everything. That's my everyday's philosophy and this is quite helpful in the conduct of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participated in some CS events in Warsaw but my studies did not leave me much time for them. Now i have more time and I would like to help foreigners discover about Paris (:

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No couch sleeping & sharing yet. As soon as I have my real homy, i'd like to share it!

Interests

travels, politics and economics, cultural differences, languages, getting lost in a city and discover its amazing hidding place, food (extreme food lover, especially during travels, fooding time are often time to talk and debate), read on Amsterdam's canal, get caught up in an unusual conversation with a total interesting stranger

Music: sigur ros, fleet foxes, caravan palace, Bat for Lashes, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Thievery Corporation, Damon Albarn, Rolling Stones, Tchaikovsky, all good oldies from the 60's/70's, Radio Nova (rules!), Velvet Underground, Balkan musics...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One month living & working in an orphenage in Phnom Penh for the Enfants d'Asie NGO, 4 years ago. It was far too short, and since then I am always thinking of going back; i get some pictures of the children growing, but it has nothing to do with the physical experience of sharing with them everyday. I had never seen such incredible children, in their way of sharing with others, living in community in an organized harmony, and their huge communicating abilities. Definitely something i have to do again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to be very handy with my hands when i was little. For now, the one thing i can really share is languages, teach you how to make a burek that looks like a snail (croatian dish of Armenian origins); and if i'm patient, also a little piano

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Croatia, Germany, Indonesia, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
