About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be my most authentic self. Feel what I feel and say it whenever possible. I want to enjoy my life and share it with the nearest interested humans.
ABOUT ME
I'm, 65, still working for San Francisco Opera, but doing more travelling and gardening and photography and digital printing and knitting and hiking and cooking and eating and drinking good wine than working nowadays. Life is getting shorter and I want to make the most of it while I'm still spry. At home I keep a huge beautiful garden of flowers, fruit trees and vegetables. I have a dog, a cat, and 8 chickens, that's about 3 too many, so I want to learn how to kill and dress chickens. I would have made a good pioneer or farmer. I love making preserves, jam, canning applesauce, that sort of thing. I like to sew and knit. Very domestic, I must admit.
PHILOSOPHY
Let's be real, let's try to get at our essence and tell each other what we really think/feel. It sounds so simple, but it's been a lifetime pursuit. To know oneself is a deep vein to mine. And it's a mutable thing, always evolving.
I went to find myself and only found myriad fluctuating selves. Then I realized it wasn't even all that important or even possible to pin one down.
The only important thing is to be honest.

Music, Movies, and Books
I will say one for each category because they are too numerous to list: The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen, I still love The Incredible String Band, and David Mitchell's The Cloud Atlas
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked to Everest Base Camp where eagles were sorting thru the climber's garbage. Swam far into Bahia Concepcion on the Baja and earned the admiration of a handsome fisherman. Peed outdoors in an alleyway in Beverly Hills. Kissed the eyes of a blind boy in the back of a Mexican bus.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn how to kill and dress chickens. How to fix small motors. How to grow small red moles. I still don't know all the stuff I want to learn.
I can teach gardening, knitting, flirting, how to paint LARGE.
