About Me
Hello world!
My name is Stef, and I come from Massachusetts, USA. I've studied in Boston and Tokyo, and now I'm working on my Masters in Computational Linguistics in Saarbrücken, Germany.
I'm a bit of a quiet person, but I love exploring new places and learning about different cultures and languages there! And I love geeking out about anything to do with coding/linguistics/AI/foreign cultures.
I'm usually up for anything outdoors (especially climbing! but also hiking, geocaching, etc.), interesting chats over tea, baking or vegetarian cooking, or trying most things I've never done before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to learn how all kinds of people live and think, and I think there's no better way to do that than to just talk to people living their lives all over the world

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in an old sleeper train car and sold ice cream for my first month in Germany, before I spoke any German -- that was pretty fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a delicious chocolate chip cookie or solve a Rubik's cube. Or we can go to the climbing gym if you want to learn how to rock climb!
I like learning about pretty much anything new, but I think it would be really cool to learn a few words of your language :D
