Overview
About Me
I'm originally a small-town farm girl who ran away to the big city and never looked back! An actor/singer/dancer/explorer with a voracious appetite for books and a love of baking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To see all the things and meet all the people!
Interests
My first love has always been the theatre. . . Shakespeare, Kander and Ebb, Bogosian; anything that makes me feel or think or laugh. I LOVE TO LAUGH. I also love art, especially Klimt and Pollock, but also lowbrow artists like Camille Rose Garcia and graffiti artists like Miss Van. I'm a sucker for old movie musicals and action flicks, a great book and a nice glass of scotch, and great conversation over a cup of coffee or wine.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite Music: All over the spectrum. Amanda Palmer, G-Dragon, NIN, Azelia Banks, Billie Holiday, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, 2Pac, Leonard Cohen, Misterwives...the list goes on. I adore ye-ye pop, bossa nova and ALL the Debussy.
Movies: Bullets Over Broadway, Spirited Away, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Pan's Labyrinth, Dancer in the Dark (so good but absolutely gut-wrenching), Enter the Dragon, In the Mood for Love, Attack on Titan (not a movie but one of the most addictive anime's ever).
Books: Too many. Mostly fiction with a fantastical bent. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. South of the Border, West of the Sun by Haruki Murakami. Little, Big by John Crowley. Anna Karenina (Bartlett translation). Any and all poetry by Anne Sexton and Anne Carson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived. Still doing it! Life is pretty crazyamazing, every day.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a musical theatre actor, I sing for a living. Let me sing for you! I also play a little guitar, am an accomplished seamstress, and bake a mean pie. I quite enjoy organizing things (closets, drawers) and have an eye for fashion, especially vintage. I'm working on my Chinese and German little by little, and would love to trade linguistic skills with someone who speaks either fluently.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughter, song, empathy, joie de vivre and amazing baking skills.
