ABOUT ME
UPDATE (1-22-09):
This profile is now for a group of sailors who live in a house by the beach in Downeast Maine where we all attend Maine Maritime Academy, to become real professional seafarer like people. We've got a cool house and are always open to meeting people and letting people stay with us.
There's a bunch of us that use this profile, but what ties us all together is that we are the professional crew of some brigantines that are based out of LA and work with "at risk youths," We are all super chill easy going people who are a good time, with the added bonus that we're really good at things like tying knots or balancing on really tall things while they're moving far too much for comfort. We're more than happy to let you crash with us on the boats, (they sleep 38 people per boat) but you should be advised that we are far away from the cultural pulse of LA as we are down in the harbor, and that public transport is rather shady. Forewarned is forearmed though, so surfs up bro' come hang with us on our couch. We're all in our early 20's, mixed gender, and really in to having fun. Legal fun though, we all get randomly drug tested. We have a barbacue almost every night. Sooooo yeah. That's us.
__________
as of February 2007, the couch surfing members of the crew: Adam, Liz, and Jon, are all traveling. Adam's in North America at mom's house, and Liz and Jon are traveling around Europe. They're 22 and 20 and some really solid people, so throw 'em a couch if you get the chance. They're really interesting, fun, and you can learn more about sailing from them than you ever ever wanted to know.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couch for the crashing, but mostly by surfing and meeting other people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Dude, so Saul, Dave, Jon, and Adam all rolled up to San Francisco one friday after work to have a weekend to be remembered, and we did! We rocked that city sucking all the delicious juice it could provide from the ruined husk of an orange that we rendered it. There we crashed at two cool girls places, this crazy giant commune in Berkley, and this cool girls pad in 'Frisco. It was a totally righteous time, and our hosts were super chill, plus we bombed the city man! Such a good time. Saul even met a porn star in a bar! But he's always crazy like that. We also hooked up with some schooner people up there (word Seaward!) and got some delicious sandwhichs. The whole thing was totally a good time.
