Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What's the best way for a traveler to know more about the place s/he visits ? To sleep at people's home !
That's the reason why I prefer homestay (family hostels, woofing, couchsurfing...) rather than hotels and hostels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I spent a night in a little perched village, in Chiang Rai, Thailand. After a whole day of trek into the thai jungle, my parents, our guide and I finally reached the houses of a family that treated us like kings ! While my father was learning to cut bamboo to make kitchen ustensils, and my mother to cook typical dishes, I left the village to discover the surroundings : it was like a dream !
