I like hosting couch surfers since I haven't got the economical backup to travel a lot and I live in a big apartment. I want to make friends from around the world through CS.

I have hosted more than 20 couch surfers, I haven't traveled yet, but I am planning to do so!

LITTLE BIT ABOUT CS PHILOSOPHY

For me, coushsurfing is all about making new friends, while hosting travellers who need it. It's not a hotel service and you are not travelling freely through it.
I like spending time with my guests and get to know them better, if you don't have the time to interact or you just need a place to sleep, CS is not for you. What you need is Airbnb..
